#ArtDrop In The Low Country
This past week was probably Christmas for a lot of you. I know it was for me! And that means heading up ol’ Charleston, South Carolina way to visit the ol’ parental units. What better way to celebrate my time in a super historic city that was pretty much the starting point for every American war ever, than by drawing a picture of the man who blockaded the city way back in 17 hundreds. You can read all about it right here, and you can check out my super sweet drawing below!
And if you can tell me a better place to drop this bad boy than right in front of Market Street in Charleston, then I’d like to hear it! That place was in, like, 30,000 movies, I think. Including that one where Mel Gibson and Heath Ledger pretend to not be from Australia and throw tomahawks at people.
Pretty sweet set up, right?
One of the best things about doing and Art Drop with my parents around is that my mom will hide behind corners and watch the people that came up to look at it, hoping that she can run up on whoever picks it up and tell them her son drew that. If the universe wanted me to know who ended up with this bad boy, then the universe would reach out through social media and tell me, or whatever.
Anyway, I hope your holidays were pretty rockin’, I know mine where! And if you want to keep updated about when and where the next Art Drop is going to occur remember to check out here, hear, or cheer.
Oh, also, if you like the art I’m doing and maybe might want some for yourself, then check out the commissions page. Right now we’re set up for digital commissions with traditional media ones coming shortly, once I assemble enough samples to put into a nice picture for the website!
